BitRaser File Eraser Network offers the capability to edit or modify task settings such as the frequency, selected computer for an existing scheduled task.
1. Run BitRaser File Eraser Network.
2. Before editing existing scheduled task, connect to the domain.
3. Select Create Erasure Task option from the Home menu. Schedule Erasure window appears with Files & Folders tab selected by default.
4. There are two options under Select Option section:
Existing Task
5. New Task option is selected by default; therefore, select Existing Task. The list of already created tasks appears with all the details.
6. Select the task which you want to edit and click Edit.
7. A window appears with the list of connected OUs to the server. Choose the computers on which you wish to apply the task settings and click Next.
Note: Uncheck "Show erasure activity while running scheduled task" checkbox if you don't want to see the erasure activity being performed while the scheduled task is running.
8. Schedule Now window appears. Select the Frequency using the Run drop-down list:
Select Once to run Schedule Erasure once.
Select Daily to run Schedule Erasure daily.
Select Weekly to run Schedule Erasure every week.
Select Monthly to run Schedule Erasure every month.
Select Every Boot to run Schedule Erasure at every startup.
9. From Start from, select Date and Time of Schedule Erasure. Click OK.
10. Task Status dialog box appears with task details such as serial number, Computer/OUs, status and description once the task has been successfully edited. Click OK to exit or click Save to browse and save the list of task status at your desired location in .csv format.
Note: The status appears as failure if the selected computer is inaccessible or doesn't meet the task requirements.
11. Save List dialog box appears with the message "Task Status successfully saved at selected path." once you have successfully saved your task. Click OK to finish the process.
