4.5.1. Setting Schedule Erasure for Erasing Traces

You can schedule a task to scan and erase internet traces, browser traces, system traces and application traces that are created while operating the system.

To Set Schedule Erasure for Erasing Traces:

1. Run BitRaser File Eraser.

2. Select Schedule Erasure from Select Option tabs displayed on the left pane of the screen.

3. The Schedule Erasure is displayed and Erase Traces tab is selected by default.

4. Schedule the erasure task as per your convenience. Select the Frequency using the Run drop-down menu:

   • Select Once to run scheduler once.

   • Select Daily to run scheduler daily.

   • Select Weekly to run scheduler every week.

   • Select Monthly to run scheduler every month.

   • Select Every Boot to run scheduler at every startup.

5. Select Date and Time of scheduler.

Note: Uncheck "Show erasure activity while running scheduled task" checkbox if you do want to see the erasure activity being performed while the scheduled task is running.

6. Click OK.

7. On successful completion, "Task scheduled successfully" dialog box appears.

8. Click OK to finish the process.
