4.4. Erasing Volume

BitRaser File Eraser has the option to permanently erase all the data on the volume. After the data is erased it cannot be recovered again. Make a backup of files you want to keep, before proceeding. 

Note: If you want to erase the Boot Volume, Erase Volume option will only erase files and folders such as downloaded files, desktop files, etc. It does not erase the files and folders such as data files, program files, applications, etc of the operating system. 

To Erase Volume:

1. Run BitRaser File Eraser.

2. Select Erase Volume from Select Option tabs displayed on the left pane of the screen. All the connected volumes of your system will be displayed as shown below:

3. Select the checkbox of the volume that needs to be erased.

4. Click Erase Now button to start the erasure process. 

5. Confirm Erasure dialog box appears to confirm whether you want to erase the selected volume data permanently. Click Proceed to continue.

6. Erasing Volume process starts, click Stop to stop the ongoing process. 

7. After successful erasure completion, Process Completed window appears with the Erasure Summary of deleted data of the selected volume.

8. Click OK to finish the process.
