Step 1: After purchasing the BitRaser Drive Eraser software, you will receive an email with your BitRaser Cloud Console credentials. Using them, log into your BitRaser account and download the BitRaser Drive Eraser MSI package (Stealth Deployment) from the ‘Download BitRaser’ section on the left pane. (Refer to Image 1)

Step 2: Now, log in to Microsoft SCCM using your admin credentials. (Refer to Image 2)
Go to the ‘Software Library’ by clicking the corresponding button on the left pane. Then go to ‘Applications’, right-click on it, and then click on ‘Create Application’. (Refer to Image 3)

Step 3: A new window will pop up that requires you to specify the type of file you want to upload and its path. Select ‘Windows Installer (.msi file)’ and choose the path of the BitRaser Drive Eraser MSI file, then click ‘Next’. (Refer to Image 4)
The next window will show the imported information. Click ‘Next’ to continue. (Refer to Image 5)

Step 4: In the next window, you are required to specify information about the BitRaser MSI application that you are deploying via SCCM to wipe devices. Under the ‘Install behavior’ option, select ‘Install for system’ and click ‘Next’. (Refer to Image 6)
Note: Entering information is optional and can be skipped.
In the next window, you will be prompted to confirm the settings of the BitRaser Remote Eraser application; confirm the settings, then click on
‘Next’.
Step 5: Click on ‘Close’.
Now, you will see that the BitRaser Remote Eraser MSI package has been added to your applications. (Refer to Image 8)
Right-click on the BitRaser application and then click on ‘Deploy’. (Refer to Image 9)

Step 6: A new window will pop up; go to ‘Collection’, click ‘Device Collection’, select “All System,” then click ‘OK’. (Refer to Image 10)

Step 7: Click ‘Next’ to continue the deployment process.
You will have to select a distribution point to deploy this software. Click on ‘Add’ and then click on ‘Distribution Point’.
P.S. A distribution point is the place where the software packages are stored for distribution at a later stage. (Refer to Image 11)
Select the Distribution Point and then click ‘OK’. (Refer to Image 12)

Step 8: In the Deployment settings, for Action, choose ‘Install’ from the dropdown options, and for Purpose, choose ‘Required’ and then click ‘Next’. (Refer to Image 13)
Note: In the deployment settings under General, you also have a provision to choose ‘Scheduling’ to deploy at a later date and time of your choice. For this KB, we are deploying it instantly.

Step 9: Next, in the User Experience window, you can choose to either display the software in the software center and show notifications or hide them.
For this KB, since we are installing the BitRaser Drive Eraser MSI package in Stealth Mode, we have chosen the option to “Hide in Software Center and all notifications”.
Click ‘Next’. (Refer to Image 14)
Note: SCCM provides you with an option to set ‘Alerts’. You may choose specific alerts based on your requirements. We are skipping ‘Alerts’ and proceeding with the deployment.
In the next window, you will see the summary of the new deployment. Verify it, and then click ‘Next’.

Once the process is finished, you will see the message “Deploy Software Wizard” task has been completed successfully. (Refer to Image 15)
Click ‘Close’.
